Who is bugged?

It is estimated that industrial espionage in Germany causes prejudices of up to 3o billion € (37.5 billion USD) as year.

Although many businesspeople are conscious of the security risks related to their IT systems, not enough attention is put on the high risks of their speech communication being manipulated and bugged.

Internationally acting groups and banks are at particular risk but also increasingly innovative medium size companies active in competitive international markets. The number of unreported cases is enormous as eavesdropping attacks in GSM networks regularly do not leave traces.

Foremost in middle-sized enterprises time and again business situations are met that would seem to suggest that they are spied out. Such suspicions cause cost intensive investigations without leading to tangible results. With decreasing efforts it is technically possible to tap and to record the entire mobile speech communication surrounding business negotiations or a target person. Thus extremely important business information may fall into the hands of direct competitors without these illegal, activities being noticed or even leaving any trace.

Attacks on Security

Whereas in the early days of telecommunication the direct physical attack on the circuit or the switching centre were sufficient, since the introduction of mobile phones and the progress of digitalisation eavesdropping and intervention into telecommunication security are possible by means of air transmission.
